F.A.Q. 

  1. How does Emergency Evacuation Coverage work?
    • We will pay up to the policy limit of $2000 via either Wire Transfer, Email Transfer or Cheque.
    • Claims Free Discount will remain in effect for Evacuation Claims Only.
    • Deductible will be applicable should any other claims be put forward
    • Deductible will not apply for Emergency Evacuation Expense Coverage for a single event.
  1. What we require for Food & Freezer Claims Handling:
    • Food & Freezer contents: these will be assessed on a case by case basis with a $500 base payment
    • Deductible: No deductible will apply to Freezer/Food claims but they will be chargeable as a claim
    • How will the unit (Food & Freezer) be disposed of?: Local municipality will advise residents on the disposal of their units.
    • Will the cost of disposal become a part of their Food & Freezer Claim?: Any expense incurred with regards to the disposal is claimable (included in the 2000 limit).
    • Replacement of the Food & Freezer unit (once a claim has been submitted): We will require the receipt.
